Purple Orchids A Mitchell Sisters Novel edition by Samantha Christy Literature Fiction eBooks
The story centers around two very clichéd, one-dimensional characters and attempts at plotlines that fail on most accounts. Boring, womanizing boy becomes weirdly obsessed with boring, virginal girl three seconds after meeting her. He stalks her until she consents to date, has a lot of sex with her, and then never manages to move past their three month long college romance once it ends. Not once did I ever understand what was so special about either character, save for the fact that Baylor likes to wear Dr. Seuss shirts and Gavin might require treatment for priapism. What plotlines there are tend to be poorly realized and trite. The book is mostly about Gavin's penis and how badly he wants to use it, and that's just not an enduring plot. The writing itself is not bad (though beware that some of the language, especially from the male character, is fairly vulgar). However, the flat characters and missing plot made it hard to finish this book, and I definitely can't see myself reading the other two books in this series.

Purple Orchids A Mitchell Sisters Novel edition by Samantha Christy Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Samantha is a new to me author, but after Purple Orchids, I'm gonna read whatever she writes! This is what I call a perfect romance novel! And reading it from Gavin's pow was utterly amazing! I have been laughing an crying with all the feels, and at one point she almost gave me a heart attack! This was for me the ultimate love story! Can't wait to read White Orchids...
This is literally one of the best books I have ever read. I tried reading fifty shades of grey and I really couldn't get into it. But these books actually have real stories to tell plus the intimate scenes are fun to read too. Each one of the Mitchell sister books hooked me every time. Purple orchids was definitely my favorite but it is worth buying the 3 box set because you will not be disappointed. I felt every emotion with these books and I did not want them to end. Literally went through all 3 in a week, haha. If you're looking for a book that has everything then these are the books for you. Can't wait to read the stone brothers series. Definitely found my new favorite author!
I liked the characters and the pace of the book- I especially loved how it was from both male and female POV. Kept me entertained and it was well written
I stumbled across this book by accident saw it was apart of a series so I bought the other books and I was hooked.
OMG I have no idea where to begin. Baylor Mitchell literally bumps into Gavin McBride on her first day of college. Gavin is a sexy soccer player with a southern accent (he's from Texas, so every time he says Darlin' I totally picture a young Matthew McConaughey) they start of as friends and it just grows from there, Baylor came with her childhood/high school sweetheart Chris and Gavin is a well he is a player he isn't ready to be tied down, and when he is ready to be tied down he is expected to be with Karen an evil bitch who also goes to college with them. One fateful afternoon Karen in all her evilness finally pulls the most evil play to get Gavin and it finally tears apart Baylor and Gavin. For 8 years Baylor hates Gavin for a letter he thinks he sent her, and for 8 years Gavin thinks Baylor thinks broke his heart and used him and never loved him.
For the rest of the story, you need to read the book. You have to see what Gavin does to Karen
Trust me you want to know what Gavin does to Karen ( was so happy over this)
Wanted to enjoy it but couldn’t help but be annoyed by how how often the author had to differentiate the main female character by tearing down other females and glorifying her for her daring to leave her dorm without makeup and styled hair, as if no other female on campus was doing the same. An alright read if you don’t mind the effort the characters put into looks isn’t directly correlated with intelligence or morality, couldn’t get through half the book myself, personally.
OK where do I even begin, this was the first book written by this author that I have read. The name of the book at first threw me but OMG I think this book is one of my favorites. I am definitely going to be reading the whole series.
This was the first book I've read by this author and I'm so very glad I did. The entire three book series was fantastic. Now I want to read all of her stuff. Please take a chance on this one it will leave you wanting more from this author
